An Experienced and Passionate Educator
Ahmed Deria is an exceptionally dedicated and experienced educator. With a career spanning 27 years in Australia, he has held various roles including teacher, Head of Mathematics, Vice Principal, and Principal in both Western Australia and New South Wales.
Driven by his love for educating children and his desire to improve schools, Ahmed was drawn to the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.). For 11 years, he provided coaching and mentoring to school leadership teams and system leaders involved in a significant school system reform. Ahmed possessed a deep understanding of successful models and strategies that schools could implement to enhance student achievement. He wholeheartedly embraced school improvement programs and offered valuable guidance and direction to schools as they developed, implemented, monitored, and reviewed high-quality improvement plans.
During his tenure as Division Manager in the U.A.E., Ahmed spearheaded the development of a collaborative school improvement program. This program aimed to enhance the leadership capacities of school leadership teams and system leaders by fostering skills in strategic leadership, planning, and proactive decision-making.
Following a successful educational leadership career in the U.A.E., Ahmed secured a prestigious system leadership position as the Director of High Performance with the Department of Education in New South Wales, Australia. Over three and a half years, he played a pivotal role in delivering school improvements and implementing School Excellence reforms. Additionally, he ensured that the N.S.W. government schooling system complied with the legislative requirements for school registration.
Driven by new challenges, Ahmed founded and established the My Dream Australian Academy. The primary objective of this institution is to provide high-quality educational services to Australian students, aiming to foster their dreams and academic success.
